When 12 year old Yoshi Kondo discovered a love for music and DJing while living in a small town near Osaka, Japan, he knew right away that he needed to learn and perfect English in order to pursue his passion. He immediately signed up as an exchange student and found himself near Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he remained through college. After working with some friends on comic books for a few years, perfecting the language, he was eventually hired at a boutique recording studio in New York. He arrived in the city with not a cent in his pocket and no friends. He persisted despite challenges, but with hard work and determination, Yoshi climbed the ranks in the music industry, where he has now spent over 20 years developing artists and creating music.
